Jack Mattox Complex

One of the largest County facilities is the state-of-the-art Jack Mattox Recreation Complex
located onPine Grove Road between Ringgold and Fort Oglethorpe. This 55-acre facility was
funded by S-P-L-O-S-T and features 7 lighted ball fields, 1.2 mile paved walking track with
board walks and a gazebo over a wetland area, a two-acre fishing pond, and a 9-Hole Disc
Golf Course.

The Jack Mattox facility hosts youth and adult league play throughout the Spring, Summer, and
Fall each year. In addition to league play, the facility is host to approximately 30
baseball / softball tournaments per year and the Catoosa County Recreation Department’s
annual Fishing Rodeo sponsored by several local businesses. Also, the Jack Mattox Complex
plays host to the YMCA / CAMP CATOOSA Summer Day Camp each Summer. A paving project
for the 1.2 mile walking track and parking lot of the Jack Mattox Complex was complete in
February 2007 and was completely funded through S-P-L-O-S-T.
