Catoosa County may play against neighboring recreational agencies/organizations in some age groups depending on registration numbers.
Travel may be required. 

Ages 8U - 13U will have evaluations

  • Practices can fall on any day of the week. Depending on the age group, the coach will determine those days.

  • Players that want to play up an age division should contact the office. This registration software will not allow it, but the office can manually move your player into the correct division.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Teams will be formed after evaluations.

  • You should hear from a coach within a week after the designated evaluations for that age group.

  • Weather permitting, practices will begin the week after evaluations are done.

    Practice day and time are dependent on the coach’s preference and field availability.

  • Weather permitting, usually 2-3 weeks after practices begins.

  • The registration fee will cover a jersey and a visor. Players should purchase: cleats, glove, helmet, bat and face mask. Players will need to buy pants, a belt and socks. Coaches will tell parents pant and sock color to purchase.

    Academy Sports + Outdoors and Dicks’ Sporting Goods are sponsors of CCPRD. They have provided our participants with a discount coupon for CCPRD participants to use. That coupon code will be sent out prior to the start of the season.

  • Weather permitting, Evaluations on will take place as soon as possible after registration closes. Emails will be sent to parents to inform you of when your player’s evaluation will be. During this evaluation, players should be prepared to participate in various softball drills. They should come dressed to participate and bring their glove, helmet and bat. Player attendance at pre-season evaluations is highly encouraged to properly draft and roster as evenly matched teams as possible. Players that do not attend will be randomly assigned to a team by the recreation department.

    Depending on the registration numbers, some age groups may not require evaluations.

    Some games will be played in other area parks as well.

    Practice days and times are up to the head coach’s preference and field availability.

  • Games days can vary any day except Wednesdays and Sundays. Games days will be determined at the end of registration, once CCPRD is able to project the number of teams per division.

  • When purchasing a bat make sure it is for softball. Descriptions are listed on the barrel of the bat.
